Met his appointed hour.

Dujek's goals were pretty trippy and far-fetched. As a result, I had a lot of difficulty garnering support for what the PC wanted to achieve. Nevertheless, I'll list his intentions:

[hide=Spoilers]
Dujek has slowly been driven to madness by the incessant onslaught of nightmares and horrors of the mind induced by Dendar. Driven by his own blossoming insanity, he has begun a twisted and bizarre pursuit into the realm of the metaphysical, seeking answers to the condition of the world and the reason for his own mortality.

His conclusion is that mortality is a vice, an imperfection and a flaw - that unchanging, eternal immortality is true perfection.

I'll provide more detail on this in a journal if anyone is actually interested in his mad philosophy.

As a result, he now seeks to become immortal. He believes he can achieve this in two ways - by achieving a symbiosis of both light and darkness within his soul, and by taking control of his innate power to create that manifests itself through dreams (he believes that all dreams exist in some reality, somewhere in the multiverse - and that essentially men are dormant gods that must unlock their true potential to create and bend the laws of physics - potential that manifests inside dreams).

In order to do this, he intends to infect himself with the Withering (to achieve a balance of light and darkness) and to unlock what he believes to be innate psionic potential by seeking tutelage from Intryzz in the manipulation of dreams.

If successful, he will begin a cult devoted to the pursuit of immortality through exploitation of the Withering Curse, manipulating the dreams of susceptible individuals in order to unconsciously convince them to join his cult by implanting falsified 'prophetic visions' in their sleep, compelling them to seek out the cult. The cult is, in truth, a veneer for Dujek's attempt to become a thrallherd; he intends to subjugate and enthrall each and every member of the cult that he manages to infect with the Withering. He will create an undying, loyal Undead army bound to Jergal and use it to reconquer the world from the dread.

Ideally. He'll likely die long before then, but that is his long-term ambition.

I would like the PC to become a major antagonist to the Society of the Ordered Mind - he will become fixated with trying to enthrall Rallick Dess due to his Withered state, constantly endeavouring to manipulate his dreams and speak to him through them.[/hide]

Loved the meeting on Dunak. It was about 60% "...what the hell is he talking about?", 30% "...is he gonna try and kill me?" and 10% "...what?"

Well done on the manic/weird scale.

Aw, so sad - sure did pep up my wee paladin :( Well done!

I thoroughly enjoyed our pair of exchanges, and am really sad to see him go. Had hoped for many more hours of nonsensical, semi-philosophical discussions!
