When I get my knives via my knivemaster perk they don't weigh anything. But when I buy darts at a merchant they weight 5 pounds per 50. Is there an IC reason for this? Or can it be changed.

Paha

What is the suggestion here?

morva

That the darts you buy in the store have the same weight as ones you find around the server. Zero weight.

Grotesque

Keep in mind that darts are very effective. You can use them in concert with a shield, as well as bestow flame weapon, maybe even keen/GMW on them. Their weight is a good way to offset this strength.

Wait, what?

You can flame weapon darts?

Pentaxius

Yes, you can flame weapon dart (and throwing axes for that matter). You can also use MW/GMW.

The fact that they come in stacks of 50 makes it, alas, not very attractive. 50 darts * 3 APR (assuming rapid shot) = 150 applications of DF / MW / GMW, that is 30 rounds of combat, or 3 turns. While the (full combat) duration on a melee weapon is CL*2 turns for FW, CL for GMW, and CL*4 for MW.

Needless to say, when the mage / priest is faced with the possibility of either enhancing the dart thrower or the melee user, all else being equal, he will opt for the later. (RP determinants asides, of course)

can't you refresh the stack? like, split spare stacks into 10 apiece, and 'reload' the depleting enchanted stack? Or will that break the spells?
