The creature weapon listed cannot be buffed with Magic weapon, as it doesn't add damage or AB to the character sheet or to the combat log rolls. I am going to guess this is the case with darkfire/flame weapon as well.

Might be better to give us a club that we're supposed to have equipped 24/7?
