I think this place needs a friendly resting spot! I got killed on the way back frmo this village because I couldn't rest.

They are not exactly friendly. It may be that they do not want a stranger to rest in their village.

Um they do actually have a ~free~ resting spot that they will tell you ~ic'ly~ about if you ask the right person!
