I've only done this a few times, however, the Mirrors really suck. They spilt up the party for really long times, everyone is forced to wait around. The Reflections can spam and you might walk into 40 of them. Its a super cool idea, but ... Really, I think it needs to be cut in half.

Half the number of mirror steps.

Or just replace them entire, or offer some way around it.

I seldon whine when a quest seem unfair. But I agree with this.
Other than that is a cool idea. :)

I for one welcome the magical mischief.

My party was split up and we transitioned onto a cave bear. We had to run in circles screaming for help and mending one another with potions and more.

I mean the Bear may be a bit much for a 2-7 quest when people are split up, but on the whole I love the idea.

It scared the pants off me and brought a fun bit of trouble that broke the usual quest monotony.

Its not about having challenges, its about the time it takes for the party to get through even when everything is cleared. I've spent more time waiting for people then acting in that quest every single time.

Recall the last quest suggestion thread folks? Lets not have this one go the same way.

Ebok

I think it would be very cool if there was something that could be targeted (optionally) that would disable the [spoilers] and create a pathway across the middle area of that quest. Maybe a House of Mirrors on the otherside of them. This way if even a few got through, they could at least attempt to FIGHT their way into opening a path for the others. That would help keep down the 20-40 minute waits for long parties to finally reassemble.

Dwarfisim

A bunch of us did this quest a few days back for the first time..general consensus was to avoid it entirely in the future... because of exactly what Ebok stated. The mirrors are really cool concept, but become tedious quickly, an option to disable them (by whomever gets across first) is a fine fix to this, without removing the mirrors all together.

el groso

Since this is about clowns quest, and it is in the suggestion sub forums, I will add my own suggestion, that has nothing to do with the mirrors:
Some clown themed loot is due (if there is not some already).

:)

Knight Of Pentacles

Once two or so people have crossed the mirrors there should be a way to open a passage for others.  This can take an inordinate amount of time to get everyone across.  It isn't the least bit challenging or fun, it's outright annoying and time consuming.

Ook

The quest was much more fun before it was changed.

cmenden

I <3 everything about this quest.

Howlando

I don't believe that it's desirable for a highly rewarding quest to sit right in the middle of Upper Sanctuary without any downsides. I concede that in the earliest versions there was too high a chance of clones, but there is currently a 1% chance of the mirrors not transporting you through - it's difficult for me to understand how it's that time consuming.

Ebok

Dont know if its changed over the past months, but a 1% seems dubious to me, having personally spent the better part of an hour trying to see it through every time. It might have something to do with the assaults meanwhile, but even so. I'll take your word for it.

Knight Of Pentacles

One percent chance not to be able to get through at all? Or only a one percent chance that it won't take you through to the other side?  Because if the latter, then that seems a wrong estimate or I'm simply just not reading it right.   In large groups it can take upward of 20 minutes for everyone to finally get to the other side (counting having to fight clones at equal strength to the cloned character).

This discourages people who've limited time to take this quest when they can do shorter quests with similar rewards.  While there is a work around by only taking a limited number of elite characters, that is sort of detrimental to one of EFU's cornerstone virtues of trying to involve as many people as possible.   I can definitely see concern about this quest becoming like the Wells quest in EFU:M, so maybe the entrance could be moved to the In-Between or some where in the Machine?  That way those who take this quest have to risk engaging in PvP or fighting dangerous mobs.

Don't get me wrong, It's a fun quest with an awesome theme.  It's just that the mechanics at one point in it make it relatively undesirable to a casual gamer.
