I think the damage on the ghouls needs to be toned down or the healing supplies that drop from the tombs need to be increased. With the spam of sleep/ghoul on hit stun you can end up very dead, very fast.

Jasede

I disagree. It might have been sheer luck, but with three fellows, two at level 3 and one at level 2, we had not much trouble doing this; and then again later with a bigger, stronger party, against stronger spawns. None of these parties had any wizards or clerics or means of Protection versus Alignment.

The [special ability] seems to be more annoying than a threat since the frontliners usually wake right back up and the monsters don't walk past them to get the more vulnerable classes.

I think this quest is balanced just fine; and very, very exciting, to boot.

Actually Jasede I was with you that time. There seems to be two ways this quest can go, you either utterly crush it, or you get crushed. I suppose this is down to casters now being ~needed~ rather than having consumables like before.

Egon the Monkey

I'd agree that it should be slanted more to healing or consumables, or better, some gold, as the preponderance of crappy armor there is just unsellable trash. It's only really worth it once for the armor, unless you're evil and wanting to find the Evil Only Loot.

Garem

I really like this quest. And the stun is what, one round long? It's really not that bad. Use strategy!

Meldread

I really like this quest, it's fun and not that hard.  Just don't rush ahead constantly.  Make sure you have healing before going in and you'll be fine.

My only suggestion is to allow those inclined to do so destroy the altar at the end!

Maybe make it so only clerics can destroy the altar.  Let them talk to the altar, give them a selection like, "In the name of, ,  be destroyed!"  Then have a powerful guardian like NPC spawn and attack the group.  Once it's defeated, there could be some nice graphics effects and the altar would be destroyed.

Otherwise, my character simply ICly returns each day to destroy the undead within which he feels keeps returning because he can't find a way to destroy the altar.

I like Mel's suggestion. It seems quite realistic, and could add more difficulty to the quest, combined with greater reward.

Is it an altar, or an ornate dinner table?

Also remember, approach quests as if you've never done them before. You don't know about the altar at the end.
