My Kinda 'The Awesome"

I know from 15+ years of GM/DM experience that voicing IG your characters concerns/fears gives the lucky DM watching that char/group a window into what individual residents of the colony think and are concerned/fearful about.  Sometime making the chars worst nightmares a reality is fun, as long as it is reasonable and makes the players think that their characters were RIGHT about assumptions about the game (read-makes more fun-).  I think if more IC random comments are made by characters not only are conversations created, the DMs have valuble tools to create "The Awesome" which is, IMHO, a world that is not under your [players] control yet is guided in a way that refects the charaters concerns...

The post may be a bit irrelevant because this seems the goal of this server, but I still think less taking the Colony for what it is and more of questioning developments (BEING A COLONY OWNED BY OLD PORT & the Nine Hundered Brothers come to mind) will bring together a more cohesive, interactive and fun game.

Techinically NO DM experience, I'm a GM...Palladium books stuff... Though I have a deep appreciation of how this AD&D system works just from NWN---EFU is why I own it. Peace! :)

I do mostly Rifts, but had to re-write that wacked MDC system into something sane... It would be fun, ur taste in music rocks! :)
