Currently, summons flee anything that have an AOE going, thus tossing a stinking cloud renders them all but useless.

Could this bug/feature be removed from the summon AI? It makes little sense for Air Elementals, in particular, to flee a stinking cloud effect and thus effectively rendering them useless in certain quests.

I would like to put emphasis in that not all summons behave in that same manner. Plants and Oozes are not reacting in such a way, for instance.

Only some summons are programmed to flee the AoE or to turn and attack the responsible for casting it. Others will just ignore it.

I really think that such troubles could get a better solution than the current, as suggested on the first post. The usual excuse to not is that controlling the mass of summons is something difficult. The fact that different summons got different AIs seems to speak against it, although.

I believe they all have the same AI, but things that are immune to mind affecting don't get bothered by things they are immune to.

I think....

Air elementals are immune to mind spells, but flee from AoE gas attacks.
