Reset limited quests

To clarify the title, some quests are limited on their capacity to be taken. I understand why- to keep players from spamming relatively simple or easy quests for unlimited XP.

However, once players die, these quests are still unavailable, and in some cases these may be their prime manners of gathering XP when there are few PCs around to quest with. Specifically nature PCs.

I would like to suggest that the limited quests are reset for PCs after they die, to broaden their opportunities to make XP back (This would include Nature Patrols). In my case- I'd much rather do IC things like patrol and receive XP for doing so, than spam-kill Silverfin fishes each reset- which at times, is my only real viable option without breaking character in other ways.

QuoteA more attractive alternative would be permitting these quests to be  done based on some amount of time passed since they were last done. This  is feasible, but not part of EFUQS as it currently stands.

Let's do that then. As 'finding PCs to interact with' is really dependent upon timezones, other PCs, and location. Given, there is sometimes interaction, but not in the sort of volume that results in being able to go on a quest (IE; Running into one PC at a time, then another after they've left, with no IC way of finding them again without metagaming.)

Quoteand also that nature dwelling PCs generally have greater amounts of gold  and supplies due to understandable but still  amusing-to-draw-attention-to "powergaming"/hoarding tendencies among  solo/hermit/nature/etc. types who wander reasonably profitable  areas+explorables.

I do enjoy the subtle trolling, as this is indeed the case with most nature PCs (And myself), but it isn't due to 'profitable areas/explorables', unless you happen to have another PC with you (Which would likely nullify my suggestion, as group questing would be more plausible). I just do not understand what this has to do with my suggestion unless you're basically saying, "Hey- you got supplies and gold, so your suggestion doesn't matter."

If you feel solo/hermit/nature PCs shouldn't be hoarding gold/supplies, maybe the DMs should offer incentives to not hoarding gold (Maybe give out XP when you see nature PCs refuse a gold reward, known as roleplaying!), or enable larger storage so nature PCs could instead collect/trade with actual items (I think that idea is awesome). Or you could make gold actually weigh something to discourage all PCs in general from wandering around with 1k+ in gold. (This could also encourage varied ways to hide/protect gold in nature/wilds from other PCs.)

But- the above doesn't have much to do with my original suggestion, but if you like those ideas maybe one of us could share it on the suggestion board.

In any case, you just said it could be done but it isn't currently part of EFUQS. If the DMs don't want to do it, why not just state "lol no", instead of following it up with subtle jabs at myself and other players?

Of course my suggestion is self serving, but that is the nature of pretty much all suggestions. Regardless of accusations of hoarding/wealth/class welfare attempts, I feel my idea is a good/reasonable one.

I'm just trying to be a productive player who wants to see other players entertained.

I would like to bring back this discussion, mainly on druidic patrols.

Currently they got a limited number of times that you can take them, making it complicated to keep advancing on levels for hardcore nature PCs that won't use much other lowbie quests other than the nature ones. If you struggle to live in the wilderness like me, it becomes increasingly more and more difficult to keep a level after the second, third, fourth or fifth death with all the take limits of quests and exploration XP that won't return.

Therefore, I suggest for the Druidic Patrols to be level restricted instead of having a maximum of times that you can use them, so, if you are brought back to level 4 and you are still exiled, alone or unable to gather people, you will still have a chance to recover from the punch.

This is a good idea I think. Maybe allowing something to be done 5 times a month rather than 5 times ever would solve the issule while still preventing "spamming" of the quest, at least if limitations are to remain in place.

Absolutely, I would love it if we could make it so quests could only be done so many times/month but sadly we lack the ability to set that. And our quest system is a hairy beast that is not easily modified.
