Strength can move only mountains, ideas can shake whole worlds.

Our Vision shines brightly around the gem of an idea, a single idea, with multiple facets: the Arts shall be our Salvation. From the dawn of time to the twilight of the ages, the Arts have engineered the rise and fall of empires, and what that rose by the Arts can by the Arts be cast down. The reckless practices of the Arts must be halted, but the Arts shall and will be harnessed towards the demise of the Night Serpent. To this end, we call upon all those new to Sanctuary who are Practitioners of the Arts to join us, and together, strive to create a community those who reveres the Arts.

The Disciples of the Arts revolve around Practitioners of the Arts, defined as wizards, sorcerers or Clerics of the deities of magic, who are unaffiliated with the Reformed Order of the Spellguards. The idea is hardly complex nor groundbreaking; a community of Practitioners, coming together to explore the various facets of magic, from alchemy to various rituals that one could envision.

In addition, the Disciples of the Arts hope to encourage  the safe and cautious practice of magic,  in the hopes of restraining  reckless display of the Arts, by providing both fellowship and  guidance. A communion where fellow  arcanists can come together to  proliferate spells known and safe, to  exchange them and exchange ideas,  thoughts and findings, a brotherhood  where the arcanists of Sanctuary  can encourage the responsible weaving  of the Arts. Unfortunately, it is quite likely that this might in turn lead to the Disciples hunting down and apprehending those whom they deem poise a threat with a reckless misuse of magic, especially if the usage of magic led to the breaking of Sanctuary's laws.

Ultimately, however, the Disciples of the Arts is a fledgling, nascent organization that Narvis Naerfaine hopes to establish with the aid of others, such as the Church of Azuth, - its goals, methodology, and its scope of intents are all subject to change. Do not expect the aid of DMs, but as Narvis does intend to lead expeditions into the Underdark, and perhaps, if he can get away with it, even the Lowerdark, one can hopefully expect an entertaining mixture of exploring new places, fighting strange aberrations, and dying miserably.

But come on, just imagine the thought of five PCs casting fireball or Isaac Missile Storm at the same time on the same target, and the sheer amusement that alone can bring.

The Disciples of the Arts believe only through  rituals of Arselu'Tel'Quess can Dendar be finally defeated, harnessing  a pinnacle of magic that had laid waste to empires and annihilated  deities. To this end, the Disciples of the Arts will come to comb the  Underdark, delving into Drow Ruins, investigating rumors of the likes,  and hoping to hunt down and accumulate every scrap of High Magic that  they believe the Drows stole in surface raids from pre-Darkening times.

On top of that, of course, is the pursuit of knowledge and power for its own sake. However, nothing is set in stone, and the objectives are nebulous at best, and will doubtless change with the passage of time to the whims and drama of its members.

Tentatively:
+ Establish a Faction Base of sorts;
+ Figure out how the EFUSS Alchemy system works because I don't have a clue;
+ A tight-knit party roster that could develop camaraderie, internal drama, conflicts from disagreements, and quest together without Narvis dropping dead the moment he steps out of Upper;
+ Comb the Underdark, obtain reagents, toss into an alchemical pot, accidentally summons a Balo-...
+ Hunt down rumors of Drow ruins and/or abandoned Archmage libraries secluded and hidden beyond the walls of Traensyr and/or Drow outposts that could potentially hide secrets of interest.

Recommended Alignment:
This always confuses me, since I genuinely have no clue what alignment your character is, so here's the simplest answer: don't do things which lead to you becoming a criminal in Upper, so if you have a really clever and awesome-at-hiding Chaotic Evil maniac, that's your prerogative to RP!

Recommended Race: non-Monstrous.

Recommended Class: Make a wild guess.
