The darkness has shrouded Tethyr, and with it comes reports of some unknown threat suddenly appearing inside the borders, an invading force rumored to be of great terrors. Surely only rumors ofcourse? Commoners scared by mages flinging fireballs through the darkness, playing it up more and more the deeper they get into their cups.

The regular group of men-at-arms, beggars and militia are gathered up in Darromar to be the first to test the enemy. To keep this rag-tag group together, and to actually get something out of the venture, The Queen's own 27th Swords are sent along to form the backbone of the army.

Needless to say the ill-prepared army of mostly non-soldiers are obliterated in their first encounter with the enemy. Terrible howls of creatures never seen on the surface before and the scream of men sound in the darkness. Most of the commoners and men-at-arms are quickly cut down or flees out into the darkness only to be picked up by prowlers waiting as they run blind into them. The faith of most of the men in the 27th Swords are also sealed, but a small group does manage to break away through the slithering masses of creatures surrounding them, and lives to fight another day..

For this group I haven't planned much to be set in stone, leaving to our characters to discuss what we want to do now that our old life has ended. This also makes the choice of characters and concepts rather free, but I would wish some loyality to the others as everyone/most should be from the same regiment and having fought and trained together. If someone wish to join us but not being from the regiment then that might work out too, but give a heads up!

I had planned for with this group starting in Howlands hardcore start, this being a chance to explore that with a group. So some -or all!- of us might not even make it.

Required alignment: None, non-chaotic prefered.
Required class: None Druid. Prefered Melee, but some battlecaster might fit in as well.

I am myself planning to make a regular soldier. I haven't got a plan for any Captain, but if someone feel that would be their call, feel free to say so!

Any ideas/interest, write some lines below!

Haven't got a concept together but I'm interested in the hardcore prelude, I'll start brainstorming and hopefully we can get a team together

Damn baddass concept. Just for the name it catched me. I'd roll one of those guys if I weren't busy already.
