Bounty system for lower

Hey!

I think it was suggested before, but I couldn't find it. Is there a way to add a bounty system to lower? similar to the one of upper with criminals/Auxiliary with machinery problems/Ordinants and bounties on abberants?

It's a cool feature, that if you can't be in upper you just miss it.

I thought about something more in line with lower like, "sightings of a dangerous chosen", where a NPC will tell you about a particular stronger chosen out in lower (lower is huge, and they can also be in the sewers for example). But it's just one idea. Players are welcome to suggest their own.

only thing I'd change is that if a messenger girl makes a sending like that it's RIP messenger girl. BUT it can be a scrapper using the unauthorized sending to say that himself

As said above. Such message would get the girl caught, possibly in really bad trouble (as much as life-threatening trouble).

NPC's would never take that chance. And when players make those sendings and send the girls into such danger... They can expect the Mother to send her own cutthroats after the one who paid her girls to take such notes.

My apologies, I only recently returned to EfU and have played Upper since -- I do not actually know how the Lower sending system works! o.o I was really only trying to give a humorous example of what I liked about Tala's idea.

I like that Lower has smuggling quests you can do (Shady Smuggler and some scripted one) which seems more fitting for the general lower vibe. I think what might be nice for some manner of bounty system would be something similar to what we had back in efu:m (which may have been faction only) but where you could go out exploring and find a bundle of supplies or a crate stash that could be handed in for a reward. Something like Duergar shipments etc/surplus etc... or something like gathering food bundles or some manner of resources that would help in developing lower. (Could be anything really, supplies, drugs, weapons, food, herbs...)

I like the idea of actual person bounties being PC driven in lower or if it calls for it DM bounties in certain situations as you are not restricted by the laws of Upper.

Howland just implemented scrapping of animatron parts in Lower a few days ago, so that the gathering aspect has been addressed at least partially if not completely.

There are many things that has been added recently and definitely this kind suggestion is a possibility, though maybe not that obvious one or happening anytime soon.

Lower is a pretty condensed place. Why not go down the route we did in Mistlocke and just have a bounty board somewhere within the Crone? It completely avoids the unnecessary and very loud use of a sending, which seems entirely undesirable anyways.

We could also have Marge do an unauthorized sending if it was really necessary, I suppose.
