Dear Estie,

I hope you are well, your presence within the halls of the Krak has been greatly missed! It has been so long that I thought I might write to you instead. I would write Margie as well but she never seems to reply to me when I do. Please give her my best and let her know that I am thinking of her fondly.

Not too much has happened this month, apart from a day of snow and the return of Qari. He's already moved back into the Krak and has taken Dante's old room. So you've both of us as neighbours now! I'll ask one of my little sisters if they would knit a doll of Qari if you'd like? I've a collection of you, Margie and myself already. I kept them with my rooster so you might have seen them once or twice.

There was also the Hound of Dusk and Dawn that has been visiting many of us across the sands. He's a good boy that enjoys playing games. Did you ever meet him last year?

Conditions in the Stockade remain poor but I'm hopeful we can improve them soon. I pray we might see a fountain and shrine to the Mother that would allow people to properly cleanse themselves. Have you thought about volunteering any of your time there? The children have stories and entertainment, but I'm sure one as learned as you with so many successful apprentices would do well teaching them to read!

When you're back I've a few amusing tricks to show you.

I do not desire a Qari doll nor would I ever desire such!

His return has been anticipated and accounted for. It did not blind side me in the slightest. In truth, it will be simpler than ever to see the Gold League undone with such an odious presence gracing the Well once more.

I am feeling charitable so I will reveal something. You were fooled to allow Qari to secure the room. Owing to an architectural flaw, it allows one to eavesdrop upon my own.

Any trick you wish to show I have already seen and am already aware of and have long since surpassed.

I'm glad to hear you are well and in such high spirits. How is Margie?

Are you sure you do not wish a Qari doll? I have already asked one of my little sisters and she has tried very hard for you. If you do not he will join my own doll collection with you and Margie.

As for the flaw with the room, I understand if you wish to hear the sounds of others sleeping. There is comfort in community and the universality of such shared necessities which reminds us that we are not alone. It is important to remember that we are never alone.

As for the Gold League, there has been some rallying over the past month and some of your own Nadiri and Apothars seem quite friendly with Dante. Little Selwyn is blown ever hither and thither.

While I'm sure you've already seen far ahead as to what the trick is, I'll be sure to show you the next time I see you just in case. Anticipate seeing me soon!
