Letter to the Church of the Dome

My honored superiors,

The hour is late and I write hastily to inform you of recent occurrences. I know the trust which was required of me to grant me Santina's sacred relics, and should something happen to me, I do not want them lost.

This night, I was stabbed and held hostage by Condottiero Paolina Capuano of the Banda Rossa, held captive and denied medical care as I bled from the gut, in order to force a political decision from my betrothed, the Legate Dante Moretti. I do not expect this to be the end of the violence, despite their remarks otherwise.

If you wish the relic returned, I will surrender it back to your safekeeping.

I have done my best to care for the sick and poor here, but I recognize death may come for me and end that. I would be honored to return for a final pilgrimage to my homeland, should it ever be possible, if my betrothed would be allowed to join me.

Until I hear back, I will do my best to safeguard them and help the people here.
