My apologies for informing you so impersonally and with so little notice, but I am afraid I must return to Baz'eel for a time to deal with some family matters.

In times past I would grit my teeth and press on with my duties, but of late the Scribes have found themselves better staffed with individuals I feel I can trust in my absence.

I cannot say when I shall return to the Well, it is even a possibility that the markers of prestiege such as the Jewel of Baz'eel that I earned in my service here shall secure me a position of note back in Baz'eel that would Preclude such, but I hope it shall not be overlong until we shall meet again.

Until my return, it is my reccomendation that Bashir be raised to the Position of Deputy Chief Scribe, should Chief Scribe Ashbury agree, he has more than earned it and while there are responsibilites the freedom to delegate would allow him more time to perform the parts of the Job he actually enjoys. Should I return to the Well we can discuss my return to the role.

Despite disagreements we have had in the past, it has been a Privilage to work alongside you.
Please do not destroy the Well while I am gone.
