Dear Cosine,

I write to you, reflecting on the events of last eve.  Of the bitterness that turned to blood and disaster, as all feuds must - if peace cannot be found.  I look to the future, and see the fate of Koji and Vico played out  again and again, with many varied names and faces.  Among them, our own. We too are locked in this cycle.

Warad places many forks in the road before us, and Izdu grants us the gift of insight to learn from our mistakes and choose the better path.

Our conflict began, when my position was the same being taken by Mae this last assembly. In the face of so many wrongs, sanctions were merited. No trial was forthcoming for Mae, but your order vehemently defended her as though there was, and made threats, allowed many to die, all to protect her from this.

You have deflected, placed blame on others for these threats, for inaction on your part in the face of your duty.

This is perhaps, the greatest difference between us.  No matter the reason, the lives saved - an evil act remains such. It should be a heavy burden on your shoulder, and a reminder - a lesson to walk the path where such actions become unnecessary in the future. Each of the actions I took as Legate and otherwise to similar ends are as lead within my toga, a constant weight bourne each day. I do not blame others, and while these actions were necessary - It is a terrible thing for one to take the Mother's Gift from another. This accountability, the taking of responsibility is what sets us apart. It is the lesson I have tried to teach you, and failed... time and again.

Your order has the duty to defend the well from horrors it will hopefully never know about.  And in doing so, your members may be forced to do terrible things. It is of the utmost importance that they recognize that the end does not absolve them of the means. To pass blame to another, to avoid accountability and consequence, means only that one will go mad with the freedom and power they allow to go unchecked.  Eventually, you will become the very monsters you seek to defend the disc against.

As all scholars know - discourse and debate are neccesary, to prove an idea, to iterate upon it. To learn and grow. Not all opponents of thought, need be enemies at heart.

Let us take the first steps towards the path to Peace, for this is what Warad wills of me. To this end - Seek me. I believe I know the true culprit of this mirror fiasco, or at least one of the other conspirators.
