TWINDARI MARTYR
ZI OF WISE REPOSE

ILLUMINED SCHOLAR
WORTHY DEAD
WISE HE THOUGHT HIMSELF
CLEVER DOUBTLESS HE WAS
HE SOUGHT A GAME OF FATE
AND JOINED TOO THE MARTYRS

Worthiest of all things is the pursuit of martyrdom, and thou hath sought it without fear, without hesitation. To plunge into the abyss, knowing death awaits thee.  Thou art honored for it, and beloved of the Martyrs for whom thy deeds have elevated in glory. From thy lips flowed sagacious words, wisdoms that shall not wither for the ages. Thy name was scholar, and the light of thy wisdom shall not fade from this world. Thou art remembered, and for memory everlasting, thy name shall never fade.

ENTRY XIII
SCHOLAR MENCIUS ZI
Mencius Zi, age unknown, perished Tesrin Hray 7th. IY 7787. Mencius Zi was a noble scholar and priest of the Martyred Twins. He came to this Well a refugee, but what he lacked in worldly belongings he made up for with an otherworldly wisdom gifted unto him by the auspices of the Martyrs whom he was so beloved of. Mencius Zi endeared himself to a life of quiet contemplation in the pursuit of noble and universal truths. In this, the few words he spoke were always of great wealth, and a boon to all those around him. Possessed of a great and kindly heart, he strove to guide others in that selfsame path, and among those who he touched his memory shall not soon fade. On Tesrin Hray 7th, IY 7787, Mencius Zi chose to strive in the same path walked once by the Martyrs. As they gave their lives to stay the fell hand of death from innocents, so too did Mencius Zi seek by his quick wit and clever mind to subdue a terrible spirit that inflicted great harm upon the peoples of Ephia's Well. Alas, even with clever and grace, it would not be enough and Zi was brought low by this spirit and given unto the warm and kind embrace of the Martyrs. He rests now among the worthy dead and is honored thus, for he strove in life to exalt the Martyrs, and he chose in death to become a martyr. Hail the dead, memory undying, may he be remembered an honored martyr.

OZIAS OF WHIRLING BLADES

B'AARAT CRUSADER
WORTHY DEAD

DWELT THEE IN AN OATH'S SHADE

YET THOU HAST RISEN ABOVE

FOR IN DEATH ETERNAL MEMORY

AND EVER SHALL THE MOTHER'S TEARS FLOW

The greatest blessing is to give yourself to ensure the fruition of a cause. These are the Martyrs' words, and thou hast lived thy life in pursuit of them. O' Gentle B'aarat, we exalt thee, for thy life thou gave to thy comrade, and in service hast thou done honor and love by the Mother and the Wheel.  Welcomed art thou into the grave, hospitaler, and by mournful song and sorrowful tears do we greet thee. Thou art remembered, and for memory everlasting, thy name shall never fade.

ENTRY XIV
OZIAS HASAPIS
Ozias Hasapis, aged thirty-one, perished Illul 30th. IY 7787. Ozias arrived to Ephia's Well in the weeks preceding the fateful Battle of the Red Hill. A devout and pious servant of the Mother, he quickly was swept into the Anointed Hospitalers of Her Sepulcher and became a close confidant and supporter of the Inquisitor Salvatore. Ozias was noteworthy for his unorthodox methods as a battlemage, donning heavy mail, and for a mastery over the evocative magics of Shelgarns, taking to the field of war with dozens of conjured axes in tow, and was said to have been a monstrous whirlwind of death on the battlefield. On Illul 30th, IY 7787, Ozias marched alongside his master, the Inquisitor Salvatore, and the remainder of the hospitalers to the Red Hill. Joining the brave men of the Fourth Legion in the trenches, Ozias laid down his life in the doomed defense of that flank, and the armor he favored so was his ultimate doom, a tomb of acid from which he could not escape, and was mete an agonizing end. He rests now among the Worthy Dead and is honored thus, a devout and noble son of the Mother, who served in diligence and without ambition, honoring the goddess to his very last. Hail the dead, memory undying, may he be remembered an honored martyr.

OSCAR KREUTZ  WILLOW WIZARD

MASTERFUL APOTHAR
WORTHY DEAD
THOU GRASPED FOR THE HEAVENS
SEEKING MOONLIT WISDOM
LET THE STARS SING THY NAME
AND LIVE FOREVER IN CELESTIAL GLORY

Heavy is the burden of knowledge, for it invites the animosity of the ignorant and the uninitiated, and thou wast no stranger to it. Honored thou Wrothful reckoning and remained yet a favored son of the light of Izdu's Wisdom, for thy works a candle in the darkness, and the measure of truth shone through starlight. Thou takest the place of another, and for thy selfless deed, hath thou entered smiling into the House of Death. Fearless is the noble Martyr, thy deeds weighed righteous 'pon the scales. Thou art remembered, and for memory everlasting, thy name shall never fade.

ENTRY XV
OSCAR KREUTZ
Oscar Kreutz, age unknown, perished Adar 17th, IY 7787. Oscar was presumed to have been, as many who enter into the sanctuary of Ephia's Well, a refugee from the Outrings. He came to find himself in the service of the Eagle's Mount, taking on the robes of a Nadiri where he proved his wisdom and acumen as an apprentice beneath Mae Stern. Coming into his own as a brilliant luminary, the focus of his work encompassed the nature of the soul and its connection to the world around us, as well as the characteristic clones he so dubbed simulacra, which were noteworthy in approaching towards a true form of life through his works and research into the numinous form. Oscar Kreutz followed in the steps of his mentor to take upon the robes of an Apothar and served with distinction, proving himself invaluable to both the Tower and to the Well at large, continuing to pursue his works while taking on apprentices of his own. As much as he was a visionary; an unparalleled scholar and master of the arcane, he was known for his brash, and sometimes impetuous nature; a byproduct of his passion and vigor, whereupon he could not stand injustice to be seen, and fought against it wherever it was to arise. It was during the fateful events of Adar 17th, IY 7787, that Oscar Kreutz chose to assume the place of his former mentor on a venture into the Assuru to rescue the wayward Legate Marcellus Saenus who had fallen into the captivity of the Tormented. Accompanying a band of six others, they delved into the depths of the Well and faced against insurmountable odds to spirit the Legate to safety. Apothar Oscar Kreutz died a valiant death, doing battle against nameless horrors in defense of the Well, though his body was not recovered. He rests now among the worthy dead and is honored thus, for his diligent service to the Well as a member of the Accord; for the scholarship he pursued and the groundwork he laid for future research, a torch carried on by his own students; his unwavering faith and service to Urazzir, the Wroth; and ultimately, martyrdom for a cause greater than he. Hail the dead, memory undying, eternal, everlasting may he be remembered an honored martyr.

THE WILLOW WIZARD WAND'RING
Dedicated to the Fallen
Sister Amélie

Possessed of baneless, hilted knife;
Reflecting moonlit shining life;
Of sturdy contemplative mien;
And wrought of verse so rarely seen.

He answers to the Tower's call;
For Shade shall never break or fall;
As he attends the circuitry;
And marks his name to history.

An epitaph in shining stars.
