[A letter is delivered to Eagle's Mount by a seagull, who lingers after delivering long enough to make off with an unsuspecting Nadiri's lunch.

The wax seal on the letter has a feather pressed into it that is scribed with a pair of simple abjurative and illusory cantrips whose function is clear enough: To prevent it from being read until the wax seal is broken.

Apothar Mevura,

As I can't seem to find you for long, here is a written request for a Divination license.

As a wizard in good standing who has been called upon for consulation by the Janissaries I want a license to lawfully practice divination to assist in the logistics of exploration and travel and self-defense for myself and as a Navigator for the Torchbearers.

Arcane philosophy is something that's better discussed in person, but I think it is obvious that wizardry comes with responsibilities. Responsibilities that I take seriously but plenty of arcanists will ignore when it suits them.

You can write me at Torchbearer Hall,
