To whom it may concern,

I, Legate Marcellus Saenus, extend the offer of performing lectures for your students. I may lack the qualifications formally recognized by Baz'eel, but in my time as a Scholar, here in the Well, before I become a Legate, I performed a number of lectures for the people of the Well, even in the environ of your College.

The Topics I touched upon were:

- The War of the Pearls
- The Thousand Clans and the Eternal Peace
- An Introduction to Archaeology

One of my very first lectures was also a broad introduction to many newcomers of the Well, speaking of our most recent history and the Wheel.

I would be happy to offer your students a Lecture, whether on a topic of my own, or your choosing. It is not however something I wish to put pressure on you over, for my schedule is often busy.

Walk with Izdu's Wisdom.

Legate Marcellus Saenus

Howlando

From the gloom of the College emerges a scrawny Ashfolk student, blinking in the sun. He scurries from shadow to shadow, nervous and furtive, conscious of not knowing his way clear through the unfamiliar and unfriendly plaza of Ephia's Well. At last the student-courier makes his way into the Pyramid, nervously waits on a bench for someone to notice him, before at last gathering the courage to address a scribe; who, impatient, takes the Letter and has it promptly placed upon the Legate's desk to await his attention.

The Ashfolk student courier, cursing his father's gambling problem that ever sent him to study in this dusty hell-hole, manages to find his way back to the relatively familiar comfort of the College....

The letter left on the Legate's desk reads as follows:

Honorable Legate Marcellus Saenus,

It would be our honor to host as many lectures on as many topics as it pleases you. The Lecture Chamber is available for your use at any time. Merely ignore the large device that is kept behind the curtain; it was a fickle purchase and is not functional.

I also send greetings from our Esteemed Benefactor, Kalim al'Khal. He begs the opportunity to meet you in person, and he wishes to offer you a gift in celebration of the College's opening. He is a great collector of curios and he suspects he has something in his collection that might interest you.

Please let me know if the Sandstone College can be of any use to you and the governance of Ephia's Well.

Very sincerely,

Chancellor Khel
