My friend,

Yesterday, at the Assembly, you seemed rather distressed, and Marcellus confirmed to me today that it was so.

I have gathered all my scholarly and medical expertise and have what I believe is an excellent cure: a bottle of Baz'eeli blue, and time to gossip about the excellent novellas of our much-missed Velan, who is the handsomest in the Well, the /horrid/ shoes some people wear with their togas... And anything else that comes to mind.

After so many dreadful news, horrors, curses and the such, a few hours of talking about nothing would make a welcome reprieve.

Dear Alejandro,

My most humble apologies if my demeanor perturbed you. Having such disturbances at my workplace has been taking its toll on me.

Such an occasion sounds simply grand, and I will be glad to have your company. Approach me at your earliest leisure, my duties shouldn't be particularly demanding before the election. You can choose the locale.

As an aside... I have a room at the Krak now, so personal letters have an easier route these days.

No apologies are sought or needed. I simply thought to reach out for the sake of friendship and because, though not something many would care about in Assemblies, it is a Balladeer's duty to tend to the spirit of those in the Well.

I would say the roof of Elossi will be enjoyable enough. Let's see when we can manage.
