In the name of Warad, the most vigilant, the merciful, this servant sends you greetings.

We spoke several times on the matter of law. That which this servant tried to propose, various means of interpretation, and it's potential abuses. He recognized long ago the need for reform, ideally through licensing, qualified prosecutors, advocates, and Magistrates, and reform of procedure within the Hall of Jurisprudence itself. His interest had led him to urge the League of White to include a commitment to judicial reform in its Ten Promises. It is by the Wheel's great fortune, though our League has lost the contest, your administration has taken up the cause and by righteous action secured its accomplishment.

He believes that good Magistrates make good laws, good Magistrates ought to be without serious political contradictions or conflicts of interest, and it is for this purpose he thanks you for arranging a ban on accorded Magistrates, which this servant prays shall be extended to Prelates and other such further civil offices which may be created in time. The unfortunate camel-trading of posts became a fixture of the last election, it led to the creation of sub-par Magistrates, and now, thanks to your action, it finally will be repaired. In one fell swoop, our Republican and Judicial institutions have been improved considerably.

This servant offers his support if you intend to regulate the Courts further and clarify Magisterial powers, in the manner of Selsi's proposal or by not proposed by her at this most recent Assembly. Should you require Voiced with an interest, a concern, and an added religious background in adjudicating disputes, this servant presents himself if you would have him. He means to give aid where he can or serve in filling any vacancy you should require.

On another front, the Ulema of Ephia's Well have expressed a desire to potentially organize themselves. This servant has spoken to many, and what seemed entirely unreal to us when we spoke in your office last week, may yet become a reality. Much may not happen at this moment, and the idea may flounder, but his prayers and actions will be dedicated to the creation of a permanent body of Priests to provide that missing area of guidance that perplexed us when we attempted to find some means to determining matters religious without unnecessarily involving the Pyramid in areas it is unskilled in addressing.

He prays you may intercede in winning Izdu's blessing of Wisdom to our cause.

Khalid, Custodian of the Wanderer's Shrine of Ephia's Well
