To the Esteemed Mothers,

Penned in anointed ink, read over by Sacrament: I, Inquisitor Salvatore, as appointed by the laity of the State of Ephia's Well, consult with the Most High regarding the wisdom of the legal codexes of Baz'eel and the formal concurrence of the Mother Temples to whom I owe my absolute faith and fealty as oathsworn Risen of the Mother. They are as follows.

What are the processes and stipulations by which the Temples of Baz'eel try the unfaithful or advocates of the Wicked philosophies of the Unclean One?  Are such cases to be overseen by the Priests of the Mother, pertaining to religious matters, or are they overseen by local Magistrates? If the passages could be supplied so that the people of Ephia's Well may be edified and uplifted beyond this current crises, it would serve all of We faithful with greatest efficiency.

Does the Mother Temple too persecute servants of the Serpent? To revere the Snake God would seem to my unwise eye to be no less than treason, hailing master of the Old Enemy, the Sibilant: who even now threaten us. Is it within the codexes to persecute those who publically advocate such beliefs within the walls of Ephia's Well? Public opinion seems to be split on the legality of this Faith, and your illumination would be most becoming in these trying times.

Furthermore, I would invite a Mother of the Temples to come speak come a-time. To raise Arms in the name of the Mother, but in service to the state seems unbecoming:
as such, I would seek the official sanction of the Mother Temples, if such is within your honored capacities.

Forever your Disciple,
Salvatore di Ravoci

Child of B'aara,

The mother extols mercy and purity. Protection and grace. We spread the waters to any and all that might drink them, and cleanse misdeed by both action and purpose. However, it is important to know that bloodshed begets bloodshed, and that the works of law are fundamental to prevent unnecessary death.

Perform works of the mother - Spread her word and mercy.
Advocate for the wretched -  Defend those without defense, give them their last chance, work to heal those that will never appreciate it.
Uplift the poor - The beggar, the cutpurse, the charlatan all will ply your energies. Keep your wits, but do not leave them wanting. The Mother loves her prodigal children.
Work with the powers of Ephia's Well to better it - You will not always agree, work within the realm of order and law as if they were the mother's own.
