That just seems absurd. Why, I was there to rescue Nadiri Bestworth, and it certainly seemed like his attacker intended to bludgeon him to death! And in repayment they are simply freed to the custody and service of the Fourth Legion?

What reason could the Magistrate have for sending an assassin into the ranks of the Janissaries? Are they colluding with these so-called Twindari?

An attempt on Bestworth's life was made earlier, by the two Twindari Preparators Osuin and Shahlil. I saved him with a mixture of quick reflexes in keeping him alive after he went down multiple times. The attempt appears to have been made because they believed Bestworth was involved in the death of Nadiri Raymond Quinn.
