On Lore Sharing - a Primer

As a rule, we want to give players the ability to explore the setting at their own pace and keep our mysteries for many years to come. However, we are aware that discovering knowledge is a core part of the setting, and we certainly wish to encourage this. As a result, we have formulated the following policy.

Verbatim Transcripts of Translations, Objects and Books are forbidden to be published in any place where other players might read them.

This includes the forums, notice-boards IG and all other venues. Players retain the ability to produce these transcripts for personal use using the note system.

As a rule, as long as there are items which can be traded between players - this is totally fine. Loaning books is also fine.

Descriptions, Analysis and Commentaries are highly encouraged.

If you encounter an object which you wish to discuss, whether in a Forum or upon a Notice Board the correct, it is best to write:

"Source <X> describes <Y>", rather than "<Source Entire>".

We understand that this is a slightly more restrictive system than we have used hitherto, but considering the integrity of these objects to the setting we wish to retain some mystique.

Please write books, theories, and so on. Good examples of this will be added into circulation from the DM side. We wish for a living canon to develop organically, with competing interpretations and theories being our lifeblood.
