Over the past two days an unusual sight visible in Ephia's Well. A figure of gargantuan proportions even by local Stonefolk standards.
Claiming to hail from a far off Tablet a massive entity calling itself Envoy of the Mountain has given many small and impromptu gatherings at Pilgrim's Plaza.
Though invitations are of Speeches they devolve sooner to a more primitive question and answer session, the locals of various entities and refugees raising them as the stone figure encourages for more.

It is seen in the company of Voiced Aubrey Domergue as she, the Wanderer Varin, and the Stonefolk outwit a newly raised astronomer Azimi out of some Dinars.
It is seen in the White League's Offices debating with Voiced Isabelle Fitzgerald for a length of time before Scholar Arterian shouts and storms out retiring his post over the whispers of White League suspicions.
It is seen speaking  at length with Voiced Hammad Najm and Egrit Foz'lan of the Radiant Manticore on upcoming Tournament of Merit, their shock at a Stonefolk's presence and potential future.
It is seen publicly exchanging gifts with Voiced Skaldorr Merizad of the same named family in both the Plaza and the Souk regularly conversing with Family members.
It is seen with Voiced Lucius Aurelius, somehow dwarfing the massive and luxurious Voiced of Passionate Enlightenment as they meet multiple times a day for jovial exchange.
It is seen with Voiced Sephidra Niridhe and her Captain of the Torchbearers Karstwen exchanging business in the Krak de Rose as Dinar trades hand.
It is seen publicly being thanked by Voiced Shayan al-Mualim for its charitable works in saving one of his colleagues from unpleasant imprisonment.

In most recent displays it is seen collecting over a hundred and a half Dinar pitched into the air by Legate John Sytre, using its sizable frame to push past others in the crowd securing the lion's share.
... As well as in their Garrison handing out two dozens jars of Well Water to the IV Legion Janissaries of "the Misfortune" after their long night's patrol and racing about.

While some may call it shameless,
While some may call it greed,
While some may call it sycophantic,
...Others may well simply call it politics.
And unusual to say the least to see a Stonefolk engaged in such.

A public invitation to a Speech is offered one evening's time in advance by the Stonefolk Sol Auk.

QuoteSol Auk
Greet. Stonefolk have provisional parable. The wider the road, the more may walk it. To this end Sol Auk make announcement. Speech be held tomorrow night at Plaza. On fate and future of Stonefolk and Well. All welcome and thanks to Legate for charity to cause.

The topic of the speech is overheard speaking with an Astronomer of Q'tolip on the way out of...

The first Oration of Sol Auk has come and gone, since recorded.

The Great Stone Road: a Speech by which a promise was made to see the Three League's agendas satisfied and many of the lessons of the Stonefolk taught for surviving in the Desert.
A fervent call for his own plans of renewed effort in Labor, Expansion of Culture, and Expansion of Trade.
Forming a company and using negotiation and envoy work with foreign powers to construct a metaphorical, if not literal, Road of Trade between Stonefolk Enclaves across the desert.
Turning these Tablets of primitive laborers into ways of backdoor trade and negotiation in larger settlements.

Many things may be said of the quality of speech given the monotone and slowly speaking nature of the orator. As the relatively short speech dragged on for an exceedingly long time, then questions afterwards, then drinks and well wishes, it appears a Stonefolk Speech far different than what others may be used to of the Pilgrim's Plaza. Almost as if it is more a contest of endurance of foot and ear as things devolve into further discourse. Some even taking to sit and listen as legs grew tired in the still hot evening dusk.

The impact of the speech can be summarized best by a rival Voiced of the White League.

Alo-Rutos, Voice of White League speaks with Sol Auk of Gold League. Cooperation. Together we will build strong foundation for Voiceless. For Merchant. For all.
