I attempted to donate the Puzzler Cap in the Velstra Vale donations, but it would not take. Screenshots below:

Was it dyed? If so that seems to remove the effect of prestige

I'm going to assume the PC it was purchased from did dye the item. Since the item was dyed it makes it unable to be donated for prestigious. Issue solved then...
