Edeir Halflight, Retainer of Velstra

I told myself that Edeir's death, as I'll be gone for 3 weeks soon, will either be the next big perma event or his next PvE death, and as it happens he died facing the Orcan menace!

I don't have much to say about Edeir. He was my first PC who I just tried to portray as this ordinary dude from the Steadings who worked on Lord Velstra's lands in the Steadings until the invasion of the Ghyl, in which he lost his wife and his two daughters.

He eventually chose to join House Velstra as a retainer despite his wife despising nobility, in the wake of tyranny in the Count's rise. He saw the greater good and sought to help any way he could. He was a chaotic good barbarian/rogue.

He made a promise to his wife, who was rather devout, to find faith one day. This day came when he was brought under the Promise by Marshal Luc Devereaux. Since then, he has been striving to be a better man and a more upstanding retainer of Velstra, clinging to the ideals of nobility and honor.

I've been hoping to get to know Edeir more for a variety of reasons, but he was great company and absolutely played off well with the other Velstrans.

RIP Edeir! We didn't know each other for long, but he was good company in the Boundary Dogs. Looking forward to meeting your next character!  :)
