CHILDREN OF THE ELDER




The Elder God.. Ghaunadaur, the lord of rebels,  the lord of chaos and the destruction of tyranny and law.. The god of  all oozes, and outcasts... A god of ancient times, ancient lore, and it  is said existence before even the existence of the known gods... His  name is spoken in equal amounts of fear, and revulsion... For he is a  powerful god, chaotic.. But also.. Rewarding to those willing to  sacrifice.. And put their faith in him. The Sons And Daughters Of The  Elder, the children of the elder, are a sect of Ghaunadaurites who have  taken residence in the sewers.. Deep within them in a supposed shrine to  their lord, where a great manifestation of the ooze is said to dwell,  many cults and sects have taken this place before them, but now it is  their time.. Advocates of chaos, the thought of upper fills them with  revulsion, and they work to undermine the Spellguard, and all the strict  order that Sanctuary stands for; They seek to purge the chosen from  their newfound home, and to dominate the sewers utterly, eventually even  to spread into lower sanctuary... they will embrace any into their  "family", and destroy those of rivaling faiths who oppose them... They  feed the manifestation, and grow in power... Whether they are to become a  strong power in the depths of the dark.. Is yet to be known.

Player Faction:

Alignments: Recommended: CE, NE, CN

Classes: Any except Paladin and Ranger. Recommended: Barbarian, Rogue, Sorcerer, Bard

Goals:
-Become a presence in lower, a form of "Gang" of their own, but a  prestigious cult that may eventually flourish into a full religious  sect.

-Bring chaos to upper, and rebel against the Spelltyranny

-Convert and bring many unto the faith, including a gang.. or gang  members, spread their faith unto lower. And destroy rivaling faiths.

-Eradicate chosen presence in the sewers

-Utter domination of the sewers, and eventual turf control in lower

-Uncover the ancient lore, stories, and power of the Elder God in the underdark, and Traensyr, And the dark lake.

-Feed, and grow the ooze, larger, and stronger than ever before.

-And.. Much more..

Benefits:

-Area HQ with varying boons, and benefits that -could- grow and increase with time, dedication, and IG investment

-Open to nearly all kinds of concepts, most classes, and -any- race.

-Filled to the brim with potential for story, development, and much conflict

-Unique Reward System

-Indulgence in a god with strong history, and presence in EfU dating back to chapter 1

This concept is recommended for -all-  players prepared for conflict; Based near the main player hub in a  lightly hostile area. Though often makes many enemies.

Risks:

-Conflict heavy, this -is- a evil concept, so be prepared for resistance.

-Ghaunadaur is a chaotic erratic god; he can be extremely rewarding, but  also -very- fickle, and in return for the boons sometimes asks for  extreme sacrifice; sometimes even from the faithful.

I should also mention that if you dont know much about Ghaunadaur or ideas on how to portray a faithful of this deity do not hesitate to ask! Ive played varying ooze cultists in my time here as a Efu member over the years and can offer plenty of advice, and direct you to varying sources on Ghaunadaur.
