Silence unimportant NPC dialogue

With the resurgence of several players, old and new, one of the biggest issues right now is having public places making chat logs inundates with NPC dialogue. I understand there is a way in NWN to silence NPC dialogue for everyone save the person that is speaking with them. It would be great if this could be done for the non-important, low level quest NPCs, particularly those in places such as the Open Door.

Strike_The_Earth

I think this is a great idea and came to suggest it also.  People seem to be clustering around the Open Door and treating a tavern like a tavern... amazing.  But, it is hard with the NPC chat.

Howlando

As far as I am aware this is not possible in Neverwinter Nights?

Am I mistaken?

Howlando

Yeah, I was wrong, we'll get this implemented.

Twilight

Could also just have the NPC dialogue set to Whisper, Howland.

Cat

It is possible to add this to the npc's in the Spinning Groat? The messages of people gambling and whatnot often gets spammed and it's hard to keep up with other things.

Pandip

Making Rose of the Wheel and the Groat Gainer whisper and/or reducing the spam of their text would go incredibly far in making the Spinning Groat a good roleplaying hub.

Howlando

I silenced Rosie.

Groat Gainer looks it has already been silenced? Maybe an issue with being a placeable... confirmation would be good.

I didn't silence Eddie, since it's a potentially multiplayer game - but can if players really want.
