Remove Hakuba Lair from Mines as an option

It's probably the most unexciting option to get and the flesh golem is really not balanced. I'd much prefer urdlen or kobolds as they are vastly more fun.

I like it.  Also never had an issue with the scale of challenge here.  I say keep it if anything more variants!!

More Variants are good, while it may not be as exciting as Urlden, it fits the flavor of the quest to me. I'd just say swap the spawns around. MAYBE don't have ol' Fleshie as the first thing you meet.

i've joked in the past about how if we got the harkuba lair we should just leave because it's such a boring slog and i'd rather take the time it would cost to do the quest and walk somewhere else.

It's content, and content is king, but man it's gotten old. What happened to the old Gnolls in the mines quest in EFU1?

I don't like the Harkuba variant myself and have removed it. Maybe she'll come back some day with an army of Flesh Golems.

Ask the DM's to remove a quest cause the flesh ghoulie is too hard

DM's remove it and promise to return with an army of flesh ghoulie

It just had really bad design in pacing and the elemental zones of each were too long.  Generally you want a warmup, not a TPK in the first 1-2 rooms of an encounter.

If you remove the Harkuba / golem part; the mephits all better off as some sort of explore zone with each section with a chance of elemental based low-powered loot for single element concepts.  Maybe even have the holes glow.
