Remove Saurian Spirit From Ghouls

Nothing is more frustrating than beating the ghouls quest, only to find the boss hasn't spawned, so you exit and re-enter the quest hoping to fix it, then you get to the end after fighting your way through again, to find that the ghouls boss is alone and theres a full HP saurian spirit who proceeds to murder said boss in 2 rounds, then proceeds to chase you even through invis and beat you down with 12-16 damage a hit, with concealment, and then he murders you. This spawn is totally unbalancing for a soloable 5th level quest. I know the boss is supposed to kill the spirit or wound it enough for you to finish it off before you get there, but fixing the initial bug seems to bug it further so the saurian spirit ISN'T defeated, and no 5th level is possible of facing him, nor escaping him because he moves at rapid speed. Please remove the spirit altogether.

I actually... Found the saurian spirits make this quest too easy, and kill them while they are focused on the ghouls.

Regular ghouls also attack the ghoul king in this quest, and the ghoul king throws negative energy ray to heal those attacking him so... I agree 'something' needs to be changed for this lowbie quest.

I'm up for removing the spirits. They make for really, really nasty hero spawns when you get unlucky.

I sympathize with the fact that meeting a hero spawn can be deadly and unexpected.  Conversely, I have also beaten this quest several times solo as a level 4.  The Ghoul King's faction will (if time permits) be fixed so he no longer heals those attacking him.  The Saurian Spirits will remain as they are.


EfU fosters a dangerous and oftentimes deadly (but fair!) server environment and this isn't going to change.


The solution is not to remove these mobs from the quest, but rather to adjust your approach to the situation mechanically and IC.
