The Frontier Branch of Sanctuary

In a purely PC driven effort I've been making some small moves to try and influence the current state of the Sanctuary Watch. As this matter develops though I'd love to offer the opportunity for other PCs to get involved in what is sure to a wild ride.

Across many PCs now I've become somewhat disenfranchised with the situation of bounties being issued in EFU. In previous chapters they were never utilized so heavily and of late it's been almost the go-to-move of DMs and PCs alike to just drop some big fat bounty on almost anyone for doing one particular deed. In particular I've made my PC with the intention of pushing people away from the "adventuring lifestyle" which is so common on EFU and even attempted to use politics to see the practice of issuing bounties banned.

With this in mind I'm hoping to push a ground game and from a bottom up style to change the Frontier Branch of the Sanctuary Watchers. From the professional scouts to a ravenous horde of warriors and soldiers. Underdark is big and scary and if we're to compete we need to step our game up in the arms race. When things go bump in the night, we'll bump back to use my favorite comicbook quotation.

To me the word Frontier Frontier is akin to the american wild west, semi-lawlessness, and harsh and brutal living. In the survivalist sense I love how Sanctuary struggles to survive and as matters turn darker the story of a more darker and violent force rising tickles me in all the right places.

QuoteAlignment: Non-lawful suggested
Race: Any (Sizable efforts ICly will be pushed for well done Half-Orcs to find place in a branch of Sanctuary factions and associations. I don't mean the drooling me-smash types but if a PC makes a legitimately cool attempt at a proper RP'd half orc I'd love to push for them to join me in these hijinks).
Class: As per the Watcher requirements it is necessary for you to be able to wear at minimum light armor though exceptions may be possible.

Possible perk ideas:

QuoteFighter perks which could fit well: Bounty hunter, brawler, Cut-throat, Drill Sergeant in particular as we are pushing to be a militarized branch. Man-at-arms and Pitfighter likewise.

Rogue Perks: Anything related to scouting could fit into the Frontier Branch's more conservative and classic roles. More violent-oriented and combative perk rogues could potentially join my enterprise.

Barbarian Perks: Any though Craven, Sewer-dweller, Tribal Guardian, and Chosen of Ilneaval would be tough sells I imagine

Rangers of any sort could fit well in my agenda or any more traditional Frontier Branch roles.

Bard perks:  Skald, Blade, Dwarven Barreller, etc.

Sorcerers with the Contriver Perk who can wear armor could join us likewise

Particularly if you've never played a Pure Fighter or Barbarian-type or a combat-heavy PC in terms of PvE or PvP I welcome you to try and give this a shot. I'd quite love to see ICly someone playing a Drill Sergeant Fighter PC drilling recruits on how to survive PvP encounters and so on beyond "get potions + invis jump them".

Run away, get invis again, jump them again?

Are you kidding? Since that perk came out, I've been nursing the idea of a Chosen by Ilneval Watcher using his position to tactically deconstruct whatever remained of the elven and dwarven communities...

Something I'm likely to never do, having played six or so Watchers already, so someone else should.

One of the things I think about with the Frontier Branch is exactly what is in the name. The Frontier. The vast wild underdark needing to be explored, settled, and battled. Imagine the Wayscouts, or as I would like to call them, the Frontiersmen, facing down a band of orogs in the wilds. The captain chews on his fungal cigar, chewing and then spitting the rest, stomping on it while the orogs look on. They charge! A Rashemi barbarian bashes their skulls! The Dupari profiteer believing that the lands near Sanctuary need to be conquered for monetary gain. A pirate content to raid the orogs for riches for himself. A cleric of Tempus blowing a horn to signal another Frontiersman to jump from the shadows who stabs the orogs in the back. The orogs are defeated and their camp the property of Sanctuary. The captain smiles, for he now holds the area his geological boys were talking about in Lower, and now he can have the site to mine for his own personal gain.
