PCs from Sanctuary

I suggest that applications become available for PCs who came from Sanctuary and were led up in one of the exoduses (if they are already open for consideration, maybe an advertisement). I think the lack of links to Sanctuary and its amazing history is a shame! It would be awesome to see PCs relaying to the people of Ymph the struggles of Underdark survival and complexities of Sanctuarian society, bringing an organic degree of lore to the setting beyond what the few surviving NPCs can manage-- and with less strain on DMs!

Um.. this was supposed to happen, but uh, something else happened instead.

I support this idea, but there are semi-spoilerish IG reasons why it probably won't go down quite exactly like this.

I mean applying for Sanctuary commoners who managed to make it up the Way (I know there are quite a few in the module, so why not PCs?) rather than actual Underdark PCs from EFU.

There is nothing preventing anyone from applying for this background. I wouldn't be entirely averse to people just playing commoners from Sanctuary sans application, however. I don't know what the others think.

As much as I loved the Underdark setting of this module, I honestly think we should stay true to it and allow the Way as the only way up from the history of sanctuary. Application only would be fine as well for me. Though, the city has been destroyed for quite some time now, most anyone who was there was killed off in one manner or another or escaped.

Though I do wish you could start in the Underdark with a new character, though I honestly have no idea how in the hell it could survive without other players or quests.

I'll make a char for there (Unless I have a few left). We still have Mur you know! And the Pyrimo and the zombie inn.

For PCs to have a background as being a Sanctuary citizen, it would require an app.

No comment on passage between the UD and surface, and means of doing so, except to say that we are consistent.
