Foreword by the Illustrator,  

What follows is the compilation of Mercenary, Sellsword and other free standing Soldiers for Hire of the Underdark, mostly the region known as the Dark Lake. While many of these companies and bands may no longer be in active service after the rise of the Dread empire educated guesses judging from their names have added to my depictions of such. There is very little to go by, especially as wonderful as my colleagues work is, it is sorely lacking in detail.
