So obviously the Stewards are kind of hurting in membership after a decent period of a lot of activity and awesomeness (I think at one point we'd have like 8 nature-y PCs active at once, opposed to 1-3 now).

This faction has the capacity to be really awesome, and concepts can vary. Guardians are generally non-druids, but can range in a variety of classes. Even a Wizard or a Bard could fit in if the concept made sense. Due to the variety of goals and concepts, many different things can be pursued In-game.

I haven't played on any other DM faction and this is my first, but I do like it. OOC things like faction loot aren't huge in this faction, but there are many perks that may or may not be obvious. The DMs are pretty good about tossing us a bone when it comes to plots, and it really just depends on how good you are at pushing it forward.

I'd suggest even making a nature-based PC could work, but if you really want to get the most out of playing a primarily nature based PC, I'd suggest you really just send in an application for the Stewards. Of course, you don't have to do it before you make the character. I'd suggest making the PC and playing around to see how you like it- develop IC relationships (Possibly with the Stewards?! ;) and then submit an application once you get a feel for things.

Obviously I'm more than willing to help with applications, you can find me on IRC or can just PM me on the forums.

Traditionally, EfU staff supports #treehuggers for Steward/Nature inclined PCs.  #teamnature is fine if you want to hang out in a non DM patrolled irc chatroom.

We're rocking and we got a lot of thing going on. I strongly suggest you guys to try it.

Wild stuff too hard? Look for Granny. I'll make sure you will enjoy it.

Fiaryn

Believe me, I'm working on it :)

My Druid has been getting himself situated, learning the lay of the land, and building his strength. Making contact with the Stewards is his current order of business, if he can find them!

Bouquet of Roses

The Stewards are still, as ever, an awesome faction, with alot'a stuff happening, even if it's somewhat slow at the moment.
There's a TON of room for player driven plotlines and such.

And reading through the old forum posts is nothing short of awe inspiring.

Le bump.

Few of us left at the moment, lot of room for those with interesting, unique or creative concepts and ideas for the wilder side of the server. I'd like to remind people that you don't have to be a peace loving pacifist or a savage tribal to play in nature.

Shameless self promotion but I would love to see some wilder dwarves who worship the elemental side of Nature (fire, stone, thunder, ice).

Couple free conceptual offerings for anyone interested:
  • Dwarven druid representing the fury of the elemental side of the world, bringing destruction and wrath to the meek and foolhardy who would defy the circle and the All-Gods of the dwarven (a viking take on the dwarven gods that tends to perceive the mortal names of the morndinsamman gods and their followers as misguided, meek and at worst even heretics See THIS thread for details on the All-Gods faith).
  • Dwarven ranger or barbarian using a double axe to exemplify being a Tempest of destruction, would love to make such a dwarf my personal chosen to spread destruction and awesomeness in the name of the circle and the Destroyer of the All-Gods (Destroyer=Clangeddin Silverbeard but represented as a war god of elemental fury)

Also a reminder of this suggestion thread.

Quote from: AllMYBudgies;384821Regarding elemental deities and Druids, there  is nothing to stop a character from following one currently. Simply  speak to a DM about it and they can open it up, or alternatively you are  free to use Silvanus as a catch all 'nature deity' for druids to gain  spells - this we feel expresses 'gaining your powers from nature itself'  and allows you the opportunity to add an elemental spin via the Gods of  the elements

In light of a recent change, I think it is time to give this thread a bump. Taken from this thread.

I colored red the changes for those who are not aware. Essentially, with the approval of two existing Steward/Guardian PCs, a sufficiently "nature" oriented PC may gain access to a small sliver of the Ark without application(what is the Ark you say? Find out in game!) and either use that as a stepping stone to becoming a full fledged App-required member or maintain a degree of their independence while still having close interactions with the circle.

Quote
The Stewards of the Ark

The Stewards of the Ark are a Druidic Circle that has returned to the  Underdark with the waking of the Night Serpent Dendar. They stand  against both the encroaching aberrant menace and work to preserve life  in its most natural and purest form. Highly secretive and enigmatic, the  Stewards share their most valuable secrets with trusted Guardians.  Considering the grave state of the world, the Circle has decided to  welcome individuals that clearly respect and revere Nature into their  fold as initiates and wildwalkers who gain access to only a small sliver  of their secrets and resources.
Minor Faction/Association

Application: Required to become a closely trusted Steward or Guardian.

Recommended Alignment: Any.

Recommended Race: Any (some exceptions).

Recommended Class:Guardian: Any non-druid. Steward: Druid.

Recommended for somewhat new players (entrance is simple, though PCs will likely be established in somewhat hostile areas)

So bumped.

Things are ridiculous.  Get in while the getting is good.  You can have a way-out concept and fit-in.  Every single Steward right now is dramatically different in role play, play style, looks, attitude, overall style... It's great.  No cookie-cutters.  That's what is so great about the Stewards.  As long as you serve the "Balance", you can pretty much do what you want.

Tons of plots ready to go and tons brewing.

All the main players are easily approachable OOC but feel free to PM me or send a tell to Simonde Dalis IG if you have questions or ideas.

Come join the unwashed and unloved!

Vlaid has done a fantastic job, you should read his posts.  What -I- left out was the Guardians.  Barbarian, Sorceror, Ranger...  Or something cool like a nature rogue or fighter.

Endless options.

I'm going to bump this one up a bit and make a recruitment call for a guardian or two. I am playing one now and things are really going well. The flavor of the circle is pretty freaking cool at the moment, we have some really interesting quite long lived PC's around. A few have been around for a LONG time and have some really good history going.

This faction is the perfect home for barbarians and rangers of course but a fighter type that was almost a robin hood like "defender of the wilds" could work quite well.

Somehow we don't have an Elf at the moment.  Team nature always needs an Elf...

Feel free to PM me or find me on IRC if you want to chat or throw some concepts out there.  Can always join us in #treehuggers as well to check out what is going on.
