So hello guys, I'll start off by saying that I want to apologize to all players and DMs. As I explained often and elaborately to the DMs, it wasn't my plan to abuse anything. I didn't even think it was that big of a deal. But-- It certainly won't happen again.

It came to my attention a while ago that the real reason efu was password locked is because of something stupid I did. Tampering with the set_ally script, I managed to set_ally all sorts of NPCs. It was pretty zany because I could actually use the Control Companion tool to control them. I couldn't make them enter normal transits but I was able to bug into the use_portal script to make them enter light bulb transits and such, so control was limited.

It was mostly innocent fun in private at first, where I'd make NPCs fight each other in proper deathmatch style. I usually proceeded to change the name of my henchmen to add a proper victory title, such as "Dire Cave Bear, Revenant Champion". It got boring after a while so I moved it up a bit and tried to fulfil my lifelong dream of defeating the Pride of Jultar. Allying all Drow & Thrall NPCs with the set_ally scipt, I'd throw them against the Pride in a furious and hilariously chaotic battle while cheering them on with the /voice command. To the celebratory screams of the Drow, the Pride eventually fell and that is when I shared this moment of intense fun and glory with friends. It is still one of my proudest achievements to date.

Together we came up with the idea to do some of the new end-tier quests, using the NPCs I could set_ally. We'd bring absurd hordes of them at once and demolished quests. Just in good fun though!

In retrospect, that was a bit of a grey area for us and probably the reason why the DMs reprimanded the way they did.

I'm not sure why are you asking for the server password in this way. It has been expressed that only DMs should ever hand out the password in the situations when the server is passworded. If you want the password you should PM the DMs or make a post to the DM Q&A private forum if you are unable to enter #efu.

And not to be an asshole, but this thread seems like nothing but an attempt at public validation of doing something you knew was a large abuse of EFU, but hey maybe I'm wrong. Either way I don't think it (this thread) is appropriate.
