People have to wait to log on. Recently, we've been hovering around the fourty line constantly.

Tonight it was at forty for at least two hours, with people in the IRC wanting it to empty out some.

It likely won't be an issue in two months or so, but for the moment, it would be preferable to raise the limit somewhat until the "newness" dies down.

Of course, the lag issue being what it is, I can understand the desire for the change.

Our server sadly has a difficult time handling more than 40 players and remaining lag free.

On a completely unrelated note, it is awesome that it is full nightly. =)

Tonight i cannot connect to server. Connection status was 40/40 - a few hours... updating to 64 be welcomed.

Full on against it. As one of many who have perished to the deadly lagbeast, I would caution against upping the limit. We'll get Nightriser'd, people!

Can it at least be temporarily raised for a bit, if asked for at a specific time?

We've got a group of 5 starting tonight that's taken some planning to get the scheduling done.  It would be really nice if we could actually get on the server.

The DMs can raise it (or lower it!) as they desire for certain events without even resetting the server. Just noting this.

I haven't noticed any lag whatsoever at 40. I'd like to try 50 for a while, and then we can reduce if it gets laggy.

Considering our current situation compared to a month back, I think I can almost guarantee lag with 50 players. I've upped the limit now.

Been properly explained, glad to get the conversation started.  I tried to log on for about two hours before I made that post.  Seems I was not the only one.  Glad it was not just a knee jerk reaction to not getting my fix.
