Small perk for Paladins?

A bit of a self-serving suggestion I realize. However I believe it'd be a rather tasteful addition and would help supplement the paladins lack of a mount in EFU.  At level five the paladin would gain the ability to use a touch (player tool) in order to inspire bravery. (A bonus against fear effects).  I won't get into the mechanics of it, but I believe it'd be rather neat if paladins had a mechanical way of expressing their "courageous aura".

The Old Hack

I have seen something like this implemented on my old server. Basically it was a widget which had the visual effect of a Magic Circle and which gave a +4 morale adjustment against fear for all allies standing next to the paladin for a duration of 1 min/level of paladin.

I personally am in favour of this. It is a very much paladinlike ability to extend protection to others ever since AD&D. And I doubt it would kill game balance.

I support this just because paladins will never get all their class abilities on EfU because this is a low level setting, and it would be nice to see them get some flavor. Paladins are already hugely powerful, however, so any perks for them would have to be relatively minor.

Anti-fear aura is good. An extra spell would be nice, too. Maybe grant a single spell per day based on the deity? Like Entangle for Chauntea, etc.

Giving paladin amulets 1/day remove fear would be a nice perk.

Do paladins still get amulets? Since clerics got them removed, I'd consider them still having amulets something over an oversight.

Ah, didn't know that. Figured my Paladin of Torm simply didn't get one as he worships a dead god.

Inquisitor

I don't know if Paladin's changed much since Alpha/V1 (Or were nerfed or something), but they're still fairly powerful around levels 7-9. Given, maybe you'll need to focus more on CHA/WIS for the spells to make them stronger but I was perfectly able to rock the server with a low STR/CON (In comparison to wis/cha) Paladin who rose up to level 9.

Gotham

Paladins were INSANELY strong on EFU:M due to how many enemies were undead. It remains to be seen if this remains true, especially given how much more starved for supplies everyone is.

derfo

Worthy of consideration, but really low priority.
