One of my first PC's waaaay back in efu was a Lowersman- a bouncer for the Pissing Crone participated in a few fight nights, hung around with a bunch of thugs, and eventually made contact with the Dirty Nancies before gangs settled in Lower in force. It was the most fun I'd had on any PW server, and is pretty much the reason I'm still playing today.

I've had poor luck with PC factions in the past- RL always seemed to have a way of butting in just when I was getting started. Just couldn't pass up the opportunity to get into some old school Lower gang life, though, so I'm giving this a shot. We've got a forum and a hang-out, alliances and enemies, and other little things in the works, but there is still room for more players in this group, and the chance to influence the direction of the gang- and maybe even Lower Sanctuary itself.

Anyways I had a write-up thing so

QuoteWhen the sun went out and the world fell into ruin, some folks had to  endure terrible things to survive, do things that leave their scars on  the mind, on the soul. Faced with the prospect of rescue, they turned  away in disbelief, to wander the wastes as a shadow of their former  selves. Others eagerly leapt at the chance to band together in  Sanctuary, to join the best humanity had to offer.

But you gotta take the good with the bad...

The Mongrels are an up-and-coming gang based out of Lower Sanctuary who  see a number of similarities between the wasteland they escaped and the  deadlands of Sanctuary's seedy underbelly. Stifling under the many laws  and restrictions of Sanctuary proper, distrustful of the uniforms and  organizations that would exchange safety for obedience, this band of  lawless men and women are only too happy to bite the hand that feeds it.

The Mongrels are out to get theirs, mark their  territory and control it with all the ferocity one can expect from a  pack of wild dogs. They are a chaotic group by nature and can only be counted on to never do the same thing twice. Their members are driven by a multitude of motivations- some are free spirits who find life in the untamed Lower ruins preferable to the authoritarian nature of Upper Sanctuary, others are criminal and opportunists looking to carve out their niche.

All manner of concepts are welcomed, though this group will have a  strong leaning towards the chaotic end of the spectrum. Good characters  may have some trouble getting along as well. Monsters and demihumans may  be able to join the group, but will find the going much tougher. There's room in this group  for bandits and highwaymen, escaped convicts, sadistic mages,  disillusioned priests of darker Gods seeking a flock, thieves in search  of security, politicians looking to discredit their rivals and push an  agenda, ruthless hunters and scavengers and more.
