QuoteThe Order of the White Star is a collection of Knights, Paladins, and other goodly men that operate throughout the northern reaches of Faerun. Once named the Order of the Northern Wind, they have reformed under new leadership on Ymph after a disastrous voyage on the seas and through the Mist surrounding the isles.

QuoteJoining the Order: One may either join with an existing character, create a new character that had either arrived with the remaining force, or create a new character to join the order as an outsider. The Order allows (and has) followers of many goodly deities in its ranks, but the knights of the Order mainly venerate Bahamut.

Bahamut is very stern and disapproving of evil. He accepts no excuses for foul deeds. On the other hand, he is very compassionate, and has boundless empathy for the weak and downtrodden. He urges his followers to promote good, but to let people fight their own battles when they can, providing healing, information, or temporary safe refuge rather than fighting alongside those who can fight for themselves. He values wisdom, knowledge, prophecies, and song. For a dragon, he is neither vain nor greedy.

QuoteOrganization:

The faction is highly organized and efficient, with each member being assigned a rank and a multitude of tasks to keep them busy. Overseen by the self-proclaimed Lord Commander Havoros Khaver who assumed the title by rights when the tragedy on the seas came, they are further separated into two primary groups.

The Knights of the Glen and the Auxiliary, each lead by their own commander who, when combined with the Lord Commander, form the Prelates and ruling party of the faction.

The Knights of the Glen oversee the soldiers and Paladins, men of vows and vigilance. They are tangible shield and sword alike, the blunt force of the faction. They also supplement their ranks with judges, officers, guardsmen, or other men (or women) of "lesser" rank.

The Auxiliary is the subtle guiding hand of the faction that is primarily composed of scouts, trackers, magi, and priests. They handle affairs that might cause strife with a man of vows, but their efforts are nonetheless goodly and supporting of their ideals as a whole. They further support informants, spies, skalds, scriveners, etc.

You can expect conflict, politics, investigations of the Mist, divine rituals, and an overall "proactive good" atmosphere within this faction, and I urge you to sign up as the ball gets rolling here!
