Prestige Classes

An application perk that sits nicely between factions and subraces in rarity is prestige classes. These powerful additions put another shape to your character and offer a plethora of nice features, often with a special item for achieving it. Earning the right to take these classes even once the application is approved can be tough, for there's rightfully some expectations that you need to fulfill to be eligible. Most and the mechanical ones are listed in our class section of the realmslore subforum. Others are less predefined but comes through earning them.

We want the characters possessing prestige classes to be truly one of a kind. Their strength of concept, pursuit of goals and general reputation should already have made them known for what the prestige class will give them. These characters should be someone to draw inspiration from. Most of the time they are and the story their concept bring the world makes it better.

So I have some bad news for you guys trying to earn one or already possessing a prestige class. We'll be putting in efforts to keep a closer eye on what you are doing.

As a side note, all mechanical restrictions have been removed. We hope this will give a broader range of interpretations to these classes and really drive home creative aspects of them.

If you submit a prestige class application, please include any relevant mechanical information that will help us with our evaluation. For example, we're not likely to approve a level 1 fighter/WM. So you should tell us what pre-reqs you're incorporating in the concept, and what level you intend to start taking the prestige class.

If for some reason something a bit cheesy slips past us, be warned that we will absolutely reserve the right to retroactively un-approve apps or force rebuilds and so on.
