This is to be a less explored take on Targus. It bears mentioning that the organization specifically is in worship to Targus as a distinct personage, though Garagos does receive some recognition. The belief is that the two are different images of the same immortal God of War, but that is expressed and will continue to be addressed in the upcoming book (anyone who wants to write scripture or war songs, stories or prayers is more than welcome to add their addition and claim credit! PM me.) which will be revealed in a few days.

To begin I think I need to explain a little about the priestess who is speaking the faith, the Word of Targus. Elianne is descendant to an ancient Netherese family of Nebezzdos, and is an archaeologist in study of the ancient histories of her faith. Spending the majority of her life abroad in the Border Kingdoms she has seen scores of different and unique cultures fall to war and thus has an extensive background knowledge of different practices, which will be mentioned further in the Blood Doctrine, one of the books of the Tome of Iron.

The Priestess: The priestess at the heart of this blood cult is not a stereotypical bloodlusting wild beast ooc excuse for random pvp. She is a religious philosopher and spiritual leader, and because her practice is so heavily oriented on the soul and the Word she will delegate a warmaster to command more military affairs when the time is opprotune, allowing her to be the Apostle. Her very skin is inked with holy verses, passages worn on her armor or engraved into the metal, and inspiring scripture shouted throughout battle. There is a strong sense of discipline and obedience in her preachings which may tend to the favoring of even lawful followers. This isn't to say everyone likes eachother, but nobody said you had to like your peers to work together efficiently.

Roleplay Expectations: There is blood. There will always be blood, and there will always be violence. What you can expect also, which might not be anticipated, is a very deep spiritual experience. Those whom have had such talks with Elianne and have partaken in her wisdom can probably tell you this is not your normal blood cult. There is heavy emphasis on comradrie and tenets of faith. There are of course the themes of inciting conflict and displays of courage and struggle, but I think the primary selling point is the religious experience you have never known before. I guarantee you a very enlightening experience in spirituality that has thus far been quite effective at seducing converts to show for it. And of course, lots of fun rituals!

The Goals: I can't spill the beans on all of this, but I will put a few topics down that are very apparent IG.
  • Military presence within Mistlocke. There have been different means and approaches to see this done, and with the trials of faith presenting the opportunity to potentially claim a fortress it falls in step with many current plots, and the potential to raise the very first ARMY of Mistlocke.
  • Information Control. Spies are an important part of warfare, despite what the false idol Tempus might say. It is essential to keep in touch with shadows and have them twist the enemy to your advantage.
  • Reclimation of the Temple of Targus within Nebezzdos. I know, right? How many of you remember the final days before the shrouding? Was that not just amazing being holed up in the temple of Jergal? Now imagine if we tried that again in the temple of Targus, and put up so much of a fight that the Warden is forced to surrender it to the truly chosen of Targus to cleanse it of the heresy of the Nightrisers and teach the true Word.
So yea, that's it. I've enjoyed my interactions with everyone and I hope you have too. If you're interested don't hesitate to convert to the one religion which no reasonable man can deny the truths of. After all, do we not all serve the interests of Targus in every day we spend on Ymph? Even if not interested in it don't heasitate to get your nose in and experience some of the deep and insightful preachings of Elianne. Come a blank slate without bias and you'll be sure to enjoy a theological session like no other.

Now that the introduction is posted, I must use this for the group management feature, as we have a certain test of faith to attend. What time can everyone be present and what day? I am able to be available at any time as my schedule is very flexible.

Blood for the blood god, skulls for his throne!

But seriously! This is a really cool and interesting group, we could do with a few more melee type people! So if your interested in general badass'ry then your in luck because Targus' train of debauchery just rolled into town and it's taking passengers.
