The Summoning theme I mean.

Because it only makes sense and makes it more fun.

what if you are a CG sorcerer and you conjure a demon o.O how screwed are you? xD or if your with a group and can't use summons since you might just summon a spirit or some vile creature? Good idea, but the consenquences of choosing this theme could be hilarious and terrifying

Sounds like all the more reason to add it then. There's already a chance of permadeath associated with the class just for reaching level 8 after all.

Jagged

Make it subject to alignment. Good sorcerers won't summon evil stuff, and evil sorcerers won't summon good aligned stuff.

You can always just unsummon it immediately. People use random necromantic artifacts all the time unknowingly to summon spirits and no one cares so long as they're unsummoned immediately.

Unpredictable Sorc seems to me like the sort of thing that should be feared by most, and often left an outcast, forced to either prove himself a value to society, to learn control over his powers, or to survive as an outcast. They're the sorcs that people worry about setting fire to the market accidentally. Random summon themes seem to add to this.

Besides, there's always reagents and tomes littered about the isle for those sorcs who are trying to learn control.
