Animal Companions AI 5/11/'12

Animal Companion: Panther
Area: Transition area between the Unyielding Pass and the Desert
Situation: Fighting in an area holding approximately 10 orcs. Fighting two berserkers, one marksman at the time I experienced the bug.
Bug: It seems that during combat my panther experienced an odd AI bug where it lost all ability to respond to AI commands.  I have a theory on what might of caused it, though it makes little sense to me.  The panther was responding par normal until the spell Greater Magic Fang (casted as a level 6 spell caster) wore off. After this point it stopped attacking and refused to respond to the "Follow Me" command or "Attack Nearest" command.

I would guess that it lost its creature weapon when the spell fell off, and thus had no weapon to attack with.

Summons and my familar (Floating Skull) also seemed to act similarly to this when under the effects of an AoE spell (Entangle being the spell that I experienced this with, and they did not fail their reflex save).
