The Old Hack

For a while now I have been unable to take screenshots from within NWN itself and I have no idea why. Does anyone know an alternate way of taking screenshots, and if so how do I go about it?

There's the old brutal way of doing it ... that's slow as hell and really only good for one or two during any sort of battle.

Alt + Prt Scrn will copy it to your clipboard.  Then you have to paste it into Paint or some other picture software.

It's slow and brutal, but it'll do.

I use fraps. Never remember to have it on.

Is your screencaps folder clear? There's a limit on how many it'll save in there.

Gippy

Microsoft One Note has pretty excellent screen capture features, you can select what you want captured, and it will post it to a clip board.

Fraps can be amazing if you remember to have it on.  Apparently you can map any key as your screenshot key, or if you are in some cool adventure mode, you can have it take screens every X seconds, to go through after and cherry pic some nice ones, whatever.

Frenzied

Xfire used to be good for taking screenshots in nwn.

Stream it and have your diviner buddy use it as his scrying.

Gyazo is pretty nice if you play in windowed mode. It uploads the image automatically and opens the page with your browser, so if you want to save a local copy you have to do it manually after the upload.
