This is not a pitch for any specific group, though one may very well pop up later in the week.

This is a pitch to make an elf!

I am not sure if there was a 50% off on the pointy-ear store or something but a lot of people have started making elves.  Go make one!  Playing an elf is a unique experience and it does not even require an application!

No sane elf wants to fight under the banner of humans who spend more of their effort in inter-tribal warfare than fighting the lich and thus was born the Fist of the Seldarine.  We have an irc channel now, join #seldarine

The Fist of the Seldarine is a quasi-traditional elven war band devoted to stopping the lich snd protecting elves on Ymph from the psychotic monkey-tribals who make up most of Ymphs population.  There is more to it, but the rest is spoilery.

Any alignment is welcome though non evil is likely to fit in best, even evil will fit in fine if they are not overtly crazy and act suitably elven.

Any class is welcome, as said below, do not feel as if you can only make a rogue, ranger or wizartd.  Elves come in all the literal colors of the rainbow!  Elves can pund butt, make a fighter, make a monk, make a wild-elf barbarian, it varies a bit by subrace but elves can be any class.

Only elves need apply, no pointy eared himans.  Elves who raised tribal-totems over the Seldarine are clearly mad and though they deserve pity, they are not fit for a warband.  If you need more tips on how to play an elf, ask on IRC.

It would be nice to see players of elves differentiate from the humans and other races, as much as possible. At least worship the Seldarine!

I think it really would add an awesome touch to the server, if there is to be an elven presence, that it is unique and does properly replicate the elven culture and ideals.

But don't all elves come from human pirate coves and learn nothing but the human way of life? I thought for sure they were just teenage looking humans with pointy ears that matured slowly!



Sarcasm aside, the elven race does have a lot going for it. Is cool seeing more elves around, and definatley something I enjoy time to time myself. Just remember you're not even close to human, and if you are one of those weird human-elves think of the trauma growing up in human lands where your childhood friends grow up and sexually mature and start having families and die while you are mentally and physically still a child yourself!

I definitely agree with the human-elf thing. Such an individual isn't going to be welcomed by the elves and will always be mistrusted by the humans, no matter how human they appear. I've seen it many times over the hears on EfU. The penalties of both, the benefits of neither.

Go all the way with being an elf, is my advice, don't just take it for the awesome rogue and wizard stats or free proficiencies.
