Leonard Brinson the False died today. It seems I am truly not meant to mug anyone! (my last Cyricist was caught in his first mugging, too) That said, it was a fun character who was given a good ending (my first execution on EfU).

His background, was a depressing one:
Leonard was an orphan in a small and generally poor village, trying to  eke out a living for him and his sister through doing various chores,  but through simple theft more often than not. In a Cyricist plot to  drain resources and strike a crippling blow against a local church of  Kelemvor, they murdered the High Priest. This Priest had been working  against one of Orcus' demonic lieutenants, however, and held knowledge  of his schemes, knowledge the church would need if they were to oppose  him, which the Cyricists knew. The Priest's body, however, had been  cursed in such a manner that a Speak With Dead would be impossible,  forcing them to do something normally against Kelemvor's teachings:  resurrect the dead.

Young, excitable priests and monks couldn't help but speak of the event,  despite it being nearly unheard of for Kelemvorites, and soon word  spread of the miracle, of how a man had returned from death. Months  later, Leonard sister grew ill from an unknown disease, which even the  priests of Kelemvor could not cure, and ultimately passed away. Leonard,  despite his grief, was still hopeful, for hearing of how the High  Priest was returned from death, he begged them to do the same for his  sister. When they refused and instead tried to comfort the boy, his  grief turned to rage and he fled the temple. Unknown to him, a Cyricist  spy lurked nearby, smiling at the display. Later that night, Leonard was  abducted from the village, taken away to a hidden temple, and using his  hatred of the Kelemvorites, the priests there painted Cyric as a noble  revolutionist against the cruel and selfish gods for the boy, eventually  twisting his perceptions of good and evil entirely.

One day, he overheard a priest he was assigned to guard talking poorly  about his dead sister, laughing quietly about how she had died. Overcome  with rage over the disrespect toward one of the few things that  humanized him, he snuck in and killed the priest later that night. True  to the extremely chaotic nature of that faith, when the assassination  was discovered, they began training Leonard as a priest, and eventually  held a ceremony, making him a cleric of Cyric. Since then, he's focused  his studies on necromancy, a way of getting back at the god he despises  most, Kelemvor, for 'stealing' Cyric's title of God of the Dead, and who  he blames for taking his sister from him.

Now, as for screenshots.. having only been IG for 6 days, I regret I don't have as many as I would have liked. But here's what I've got.

First of all, stop complaining about the Muster doing a bad job. They had me figured out from day one, searching me for necromantic objects as soon as I finished the mist vision quest. :P

My first and only meeting with the Psychopomp. I R BETTER THAN U!

My first time getting caught. Took them a while to actually get me down, though, as my stupid skeletons WOULD NOT DIE! Also, Leonard would have made a poor Loviataran, as you can see.

Finally, the end. For those wondering, my comments about the goblin was in reference to a goblin that we were chasing not 15 minutes prior, who dove into the River Tear. We chased it a ways but as I am terrified of underwater combat, ran like hell for fear of drowning/traps.

Porkolt

Frontal assault on Mistlocke gates with undead =/= mugging

Standing around after someone spots you and runs for help =/= good mugging tactics

Also I hope the screenshot that proves the effectiveness of random searches will get some people to stop complaining about it IC even though that would be metagaming!

Valo56

True. But I already made someone go into town to lure folk out.. He was taking forever, though. :( So I figured he ran into trouble. I should have moved to a new location regardless. :P

SilverSword

Good work, old sport. They were just lucky.

We're gonna get them next time.

LiAlH4

Oh dear, the poor Mystran. :)

Execution of his half-orc accomplice. Everyone loves Order Law, four different styles of killing someone dependent on the crime!

The man himself, burned for Malevolence.

Already? Bah... That was so cool, I was really hoping for an awesome villain... Yeah, props for the effort

Those Order boys make it messy, don't they?

Cheers Valo!

Brimstone Sermon

Nice job, it's been a while since we've had a proper maniacal necromancer and his horde. Oh, we make it very messy, he got combusted on top of a pile of oil bottles.

LastTyrant

Was hoping to have more encounters with Leonard, though it is good to see a variety of characters out there

Knight Of Pentacles

I smelled the false on him a mile away I dids.
