Summoning more than one, dominating more than one, you know... to let a horde of snakes loose on woodcutters...

How does that sounds?

Cruzel

Through the spell "Dominate Monster" or "Dominate Person" this should work.

Far as I know, Animal Empathy is harcoded, meaning  there is no way to change what animal empathy does, etc.

There are a couple workarounds, but while not hard I do not think the DM team will implement them.

Egon the Monkey

Summon one animal from an item.
Dominate one with Animal Empathy.
Summon a couple more with druid spells.
Oh, and snakes can't be AEd anyway, they have mind spell immunity which blocks AE, so although the option's there, it may as well be greyed out because it just won't work.
