It has its uses in the new setting, but I still don't think characters are going to try real hard to stock up on this stuff.

Could it be given a weapon coating effect like Alchemist's Fire, possibly? There might actually be some demand for it then (or the spell might see use, besides through RP).

Random_White_Guy

A weaker, shorter lasting variant of Bless Weapon?

Could be very cool indeed. "Blade coated with holy water", a round or two of some minor divine smack vs. undead.

I should also note Holy Water is awesome because it bypasses DR and SR and is a great way for squishies to throw in some dmg per round.

For comparison:
Alch Fire adds 1d4+1 Fire Damage vs anything for 4 rounds idf used on a weapon. Or, 1d6 dmg if thrown, 1 AOE damage.
Holy Water is 2d4 dmg + 1 AOE damage if thrown, only to undead.

1d6 Divine damage vs Undead for 4 rounds doesn't seem an unreasonable and cool addition.

Wafflecone

2d4 you sure? I've done up to 12 dmg +1 aoe with holy water.

Semli

It should be 2d4 unless there was a mechanics change. I've played with them a little and never got a roll that high.

Wafflecone

It should be noted that alchemists fire has to be found or bought, while holy water can be made by clerics for free as a first circle spell

Howlando

I don't think this is necessary.
