Was playing with it today and from what I heard it was cool way for evocationists to be able to delay their foes and freeze. However, after trying it today I learned that there was the DC.
Can the DC for it be raised so that it is not so easy to blocK? As well as mentioning on the Perk that the target must make a DC save or be frozen?

I am aware that it would be insanely OP if there was no DC but the DC right now is too low to be useful. Why is water the only one that needs a DC?

the dc is the same as it would be for the spell. are you looking for gsf bonus?

talking about the perk's abilties itself. the dc is quite low and it hardly works.

the freeze ability? works like i explained above. example: you cast ray of frost. the dc for the freeze would be the same as a level 0 spell (even though ray of frost has no saving throw itself).

if your dc is too low, raise your ability mod ;)

This won't be changed as it functions appropriately as deemed fit.

Yea, seems to be working fine.. and it's not just Water. All of the elemental bond perks have a DC to resist their effects. Can't expect to get -too- much for free! Just look at it as a way to help bring flavor to a character that is so closely tied to a specific element rather than the mechanical benefits side.

Edit: Try it with Ice Burst ^^ DC 10+3(spell level)+3(assumed 16 int/charisma)+2(eagles splendor/fox's cunning)+4 (if spell focused in evocation). That's a DC 22 aoe slow in adition to the spells direct damage. Slow itself is a pretty hefty thing, so to hit multiple targets with it with a DC like that is not much to complain about!
